Wedding Q & A
We know you have questions, so let’s see if we can help answer a few. For more information please contact us.
{slide=Do you travel for weddings?}
Yes! We’re happy to shoot locally, internationally and everywhere in between.

{slide=Do you shoot digital or film?}
Digital. We shoot everything in color and then change certain photos into B&W afterwards. Sometimes we play with film too.

{slide=What equipment do you use? Do you have a back-up camera?}
We shoot with Nikon equipment, and yes, we carry back-up cameras. After an event our digital files are promptly copied and stored in more than one location for security.

{slide=How long before my wedding / event should I book my photographer?}
Bookings usually start 8 – 12 months in advance. It never hurts to check, but the earlier the better to make sure your date is available.

{slide=How do I make a booking?}
Send us a note through our contact page or feel free to give us a call. Karl at 239 848-8926 and Nanette at 239 848-8927. A signed contract and retainer make it official.

{slide=What is the most important thing on the wedding day for you as a photographer?}
Our focus is to capture everything from secret kisses to the kiss itself. We keep our cameras ready for the subtle details as well as the classic big day moments. When we add all of those shots together, voila: the story of your wedding. We want you to leave it to us and enjoy your first day as Mr. and Mrs.

{slide=What should I wear for my engagement session?}
Wear something that reflects your personal style. For ideas, browse engagement shoots (on our blog and elsewhere) and take note of what appeals to you. Try to coordinate rather than match your partner. Bring a change of outfit or two. If you have the means, it makes a big difference to have your hair and makeup done by a pro. Aim to have your trial run of your wedding hair and makeup on the day of your engagement shoot.

{slide=What should we bring to our shoot?}
For your engagement shoot, a cute blanket to cuddle on is a nice touch. If either of you has a certain interest, like say playing guitar, then by all means bring that too! We are up for anything and up for going anywhere. One of our favorite shoots to date took place at a carnival.

{slide=Do you offer coffee table books or albums?}
We do, and they’re gorgeous. They are the end result of our work and the story we want you to relive years down the road. The albums are of the highest quality and are meant to last for generatioins. Photos are printed on thick semi-gloss pages and bound with with leather or fabric. We have many eco-friendly options available! To see what they look like visit our album page or better yet, stop by and see and feel our samples.

{slide=How long until I receive my album?}
You will receive an album proof about 3-5 months after your wedding. The final production of the album depends solely on how long it takes you to make additions or corrections. We find that after the big day, most couples like to take a break from all things wedding. So it can be sooner or later, it’s up to you.

{slide=Do you shoot weddings exclusively?}
We also photograph family, baby, engagement, portrait, editorial, and commercial shoots.

{slide=What happens if you get sick?}
After years of shooting and literally hundreds of weddings we’ve never missed an event, but rest assured we’re prepared. Should something happen to Karl or Nanette we will call in another experienced professional. If you’re not completely happy with the photographer we offer, you may receive a total refund. We’re members of local and national networks of photographers, so you’ll be covered.

{slide=Is money refundable should our wedding or event be canceled?}
Once you’ve signed with us, all monies paid are non-refundable. Please understand, your’re still receiving a service. The service you paid for with your retainer is your consultation time and that, should someone call us up and ask about your wedding date, our response is “sorry, we’re booked.” Canceled weddings make us oh so sad.
