cooking for two
Cooking is like love; it should be entered into with abandon or not at all. – Harriet Van Horne
Courtney & John | Engaged in Chicago
Chicago is a place we’ve been many times and it’s special to have a small history there (including one of the first ever days Karl and I spent together.) In addition to exploring new-to-us neighborhoods and taking a couple food tours, we met Courtney and John for an engagement session! Their wedding will take place here in Naples, but they call Chicago home. We started shooting in their neighborhood, made our way downtown, and ended up on North Avenue Beach to watch the city lights appear at dusk.
Denise & Ryan | Naples Engagement Session Photographers
Denise and Ryan had us photograph a three part engagement session here in Naples. After proposing Ryan actually held a surprise engagement party at Osetra (a wine bar on Fifth Avenue and one of our shoot locations.) We’re excited to be shooting their upcoming wedding at The Strand!
*A little insight into our working style: I shot the top left image while Karl shot the top right image. We often work around each other to create complimentary photographs like these.
Jessica & Andreas | Ft. Myers Engagement Session
Jess and Andreas are funny and sweet together and we could not be happier for them as we approach their big day! During their downtown Ft. Myers engagement session we had the good fortune to work with Kehrin of Jet Set Wed. Working with a planner / stylist takes all the guess work out of planning the look and feel of your shoot, plus it’s super fun!
Stephanie & Jerome | Naples Engagement Photographers
Most couples tell us up front that they’re going to be uncomfortable in front of the camera. Or, worse yet, they believe themselves to be “non-photogenic.” Luckily that awkward feeling usually lasts about five minutes, even less. And we love getting that out of the way during engagement sessions! They’re like double dates. We walk around town, chatting, sometimes stopping for a drink.
Want to know something? Karl and I often feel strangely awkward when being photographed. Karl even more so than myself- he would rather be behind the camera! I find that amusing, and I’m glad for it, since it allows us to empathize with the gals and guys that we photograph. Here’s us in action. We usually take turns running the show.
Bridget & Adam | Fort Myers Engagement Photography
Check out these sweet pics we took of Bridget and Adam for their engagement shoot. We met them at Lakes Park in Fort Myers… what a beautiful place to spend an evening. Now that you’ve seen the latest on our little blog here, we recommend turning off your computer in favor of a bike picnic at the nearest park!
Priya & Ojas | Naples Engagement Photographers
While we’re almost ready to share the beautiful photos from their Indian wedding, check out some engagement photos of Priya and Ojas. Click here to view a sneak peek of their wedding.
Erin & Adam | Naples Engagement Photography
This shoot was really great for a few reasons. First off, Erin and Adam are so photogenic and just cool people to hang out with. Secondly, this is one of our favorite places to shoot. Thirdly, they asked us to incorporate their table numbers into their photos for use at their reception. We decided to go big by making our own larger than life props. Erin and Adam later framed the photos on their reception tabletops. Thanks to my mom who did a bunch of the work sawing and painting!!
We have bunches more to show from this cute couple’s wedding at The Quarry, from their wedding to their day after shoot.
And for the numbers…
