a sweet naples family session
Just look at these two, Jess and Jenna, on their mother daughter date. Aren’t they the cutest! We met near downtown Naples shortly after sunrise for their sweet Naples family photo shoot. We have only a few dates left for portrait shoots before the holidays!

Karl recently spent some time with the Jensen gang, you know, just hanging out in the woods. These kids always put a smile on our faces.
a moment
Nanette caught this wonderful moment during a family formal session. This is my favorite photo of the session!
Mr. & Mrs. Smith… plus baby Smith
The Smiths were the first people that we met after moving to Florida almost six years ago. Since then we’ve had yorkie play dates, photographed their engagement and wedding, traveled together, cooked together, and spent holidays with them as our adopted Florida family. (We grew up just a few towns apart in Michigan, although we didn’t meet until we moved south.) More recently we’ve watched as they welcomed a sweet baby girl into their family! These relaxed family photos, taken in June, are bittersweet for us as the Smiths have since moved to Ohio. Until our next visit… xoxo.
Naples Portait Photographer | GAP Display
This past June we joined the Baby Gap at the Waterside Shops to photograph local children wearing their Gap finest. Our faces hurt from smiling before the day was through! With a studio set-up in the back of the store we managed to capture 36 families in six hours… over eighty adorable faces. The kids were great sports, although the lollipop incentive helped. Working with the ladies at the Gap was a pleasure, and we’re thrilled with the outcome of the shoot.
Family Portrait | Naples Portrait Photographer
We have the pleasure of photographing Allison & Philip’s wedding this coming Saturday. Instead of an engagement session they opted to do a family photo by the beach in Naples. We were busy taking pictures in the surf when a rogue wave crashed into the group. Of course this caught everyone off guard, as you can see by their expressions. The first photo was taken when the wave made impact. The second photo, taken seconds later, is probably my favorite family portrait I have ever captured. True, not everyone is looking at the camera. But when looking at the photo one immediately wants to be a part of their spirited and loving family. Formal shots don’t always have to be the same old formal. Thanks Allison and Philip, we’ll see you on the weekend!
Baby Matthew | Naples Baby Portraits
I took these photos with Matthew while he was between one and two months old. Over the course of a couple afternoons, he let me snap away without any fuss at all. At times we were accompanied by older bro and pet, but for the most part it was just Matthew staring sweetly at me. As the youngest of four, this baby is pretty easygoing. It amazes me to see this giant personality in such small form. Isn’t his hair the best? The shoot took place in Matthew’s cozy yellow nursery decorated with moons and stars.
Waterside Baby Gap Shoot | Naples Children’s Portrait Photography
Today, Karl and I teamed up with the Baby Gap at the Waterside Shops to photograph local children wearing their Gap finest. My face hurt from smiling before the day was even done! With a little studio set-up in the back of the store, we managed to capture 36 families in six hours… over eighty adorable faces. And really, some of those faces break my heart a tiny bit. (The lollipops helped.) To see all of the photos, click here, then click on Gap Waterside Father’s Day Photo Shoot and enter the password. The lovely ladies at the Gap couldn’t have made our jobs easier. Thank you Karen and Kathleen! And a big thanks to all the wonderful families we met today, most importantly the cooperative little ones!
